ROW Lecture Tour 2012 - Slovenia

My time in Slovenia was limited this year to viewing the  activities of my friends and their endeavours to live outside of the system as they produced home-made soap without the usual chemical ingredients. In this photo we see the block of soap alonside of the home-made device for cutting it into the tablets prior to wrapping and ready for distribution and sale. It is a very simple device as can well be observed, consisting of a wooden frame with piano wires stretched between the two uprights which act as cutting devices.

Whereas in the UK and France, in particular, the plots set aside for the people living in the towns and cities are usually quite a distance from the places where the people live, in Slovenia, and as I have so far observed, most, if not all of the Eastern European counries have their plots, adjacent to the units or homes in which the people live.
